Gingersnaps Recipe

- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- sugar for topping

Add 1 cup of sugar and molasses to the butter and mix well.

Add the egg, beating until smooth and thick.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
Add the dry ingredients to the batter and blend.
Cover and chill overnight.

Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Form dough into small balls using 1 tablespoon of dough for each cookie.
Dip each ball in sugar.
Place each ball 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
Let cool before removing.
